SURPRISE GLACIER

The Mt. McKinley trip and the Prince William Sound trip were a week apart, but from my blog, it looks like we had one really amazing day. We had our glacier cruise today, May 23, in Prince William Sound in Whittier which is about 1.5 hours south of Anchorage. Both trips were courtesy of my volunteer work at the tourist bureau. We are done with the exotic for now and will get back to the Bridger, Mason, Dayna show. But first enjoy some pictures from our glacier cruise.

The highlight of our trip was getting about 1/2 mile away from Surprise Glacier through the floating debris and listening and watching it calve (break off into the water). It was truly amazing!
